Who Pays for Hospice Care?

As mission driven non-profit organizations, the members of the Texas Non Profit Hospice Alliance believe that receiving high quality end of life care should be available to all who need it.

Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and the Veterans Health Administration. Additionally, most commercial health insurance plans offer hospice coverage with few, if any, out-of-pocket expenses.

As mission driven non-profit organizations, the members of the Texas Non Profit Hospice Alliance believe that receiving high quality end of life care should be available to all who need it, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay or the complexity of the disease. Thanks to community donations our member hospices are able to continue to serve patients who are uninsured or underinsured and have limited financial resources.
