Children represent a family’s hope for the future, but when a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, the Texas Non-Profit Hospice Alliance recognizes this as one of the most difficult journeys a family can face. Hospice and palliative care may be the next step to provide the needed comfort and support for your child and family.

Hospice Care focuses on enhancing the quality of life while managing symptoms and controlling pain.

Team approach

Our pediatric care team specializes in the needs of infants and children throughout early adulthood who suffer from all types of serious illness, including cancer, neurological disorders, lung and heart disease, neonatal diseases and congenital abnormalities. We work with your child’s pediatrician, specialists, therapists and other caregivers – encouraging their continued involvement in your child’s care. Your child may continue to receive additional or complementary treatments such as radiation, clinical trials or other supportive therapies, while also receiving hospice are.

TNPHA members also work with community partners to meet the needs of children and their families. We create opportunities for doctors, nurses, community leaders and families to share experiences, educate the public, and provide training and education to healthcare professionals who care for children who are seriously ill.

No place like home

We know there is no place like home, especially for a child, and we believe in balancing comfort with joy. Children are encouraged to be a kid or young adult by continuing normal activities such as going to school, spending time with friends and going on family outings. Amid the illness, we help you to continue creating memories.

TNPHA members provide support and education to help you care for your child in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of home. We provide our care for both adults and children of all ages in over 144 counties throughout Texas.
