Hospice Austin Executive Director Wins Profile in Power and Woman of Influence AwardMarjorie Mulanax, Hospice Austin's Executive Director, was recognized by the Austin Business Journal as a winner of its Profile in Power and Woman of Influence award.
The Austin Business Journal awarded the prize to top Central Texas women industry leaders who have forged their own path and developed their own leadership principles.
According to the ABJ, these women “have made a difference in their communities, blazed new trails, and are leaving a mark on Central Texas business.”
Marjorie Mulanax has been with Hospice Austin for 18 years and has been the Executive Director for 15 years. During that time, she has guided the organization’s growth from serving 300 patients a year to serving 2,000 patients per year. Hospice Austin today is one of the largest nonprofit hospices in the state of Texas.
Hospice Austin has provided Hospice Austin has provided compassionate medical, emotional and spiritual care for terminally ill people and their loved ones in Central Texas for the past 30 years. As the only non-proft hospice in Austin, we offer extensive services for all, including expert pain and symptom management; our in-patient facility, Hospice Austin's Christopher House; and volunteer and bereavement services in Travis, Bastrop, Williamson, Hays and Caldwell counties.
