DO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL THIS SUMMER
Hospice of South Texas announced today that the next Volunteer Training is scheduled to begin May 24, 2012 at its Victoria office, 605 E. Locust Avenue.
More volunteers, especially veterans and Spanish-speakers, are needed to support the Hospice of South Texas mission of giving comfort to patients and their families in the final months of terminal illness.
The class will meet on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will run through July 19, 2012.
This Course is offered by Hospice of South Texas free of charge with all materials provided. Upon completion of the training, volunteers will be ready to companion patients and offer support to their family caregivers.
If you are able to give a couple of hours a week to make a big difference, register for this life-skills course by calling Linda Browning in Volunteer Services, at 572-4300 or 1-800-874-6908.
