Interfaith Service of Remembrance

Event Description: Today's fast-paced and hectic lifestyle leaves us with little time to contemplate our losses and honor the memories of those who have died.

Through its Interfaith Service of Remembrance, Hospice Care Team attempts to slow down the pace. The service offers a time to reflect on the love we still have for those who have died, and to share our memories with others whose lives they have touched.

HCT will hold its semi-annual remembrance service on Sunday, February 21st at 3:00 p.m. The service is open to anyone who wishes to honor a loved one who has died.

All of those attending are encouraged to bring a photograph to be displayed at the front of the church. Memories become the focus during the candle-lighting ceremony, as the names of those we have cared for during the past year are read aloud.

The memorial service is followed by a reception in the church's parish hall, to enjoy refreshments and fellowship. The reception often takes on a family reunion atmosphere as families discuss their progress in coming to terms with their losses.
